Camembert Tarte Tatin
25 g unsalted butter
2 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar
1/2 Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced
1 French Camembert
Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
Melt the butter in a small frying pan and scatter over the dark brown sugar.
Heat until caramelised.
Add the apple slices and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side.
Remove the wrapping from the Camembert and place the cheese back in the carton.
Fan out the caramelised apple slices on top of the Camembert, and spoon over any sauce left in the pan.
Sprinkle with thyme leaves and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, thinly slice the ciabatta and toast under a medium grill until golden.
Serve the Camembert tarte tatin with the grilled ciabatta slices.
